Find out what happens to Melvin...does he stay a booger or does he change back to a straight A student?

Surviving the Applewhites by Stephanie S. Tolan

I liked this book because it really is a page turner. It was 5 minutes before lunch and I was reading it - next thing you know the teacher was lining us up for lunch. I really didn't want to stop reading, but I knew I had to. I highly recommend everyone to go to your school library and read Surviving the Applewhites. It is also a Newberry Honor award book.

There's a Boy in the Girls Bathroom by Louis Sachar

The reason I like this book is because it teaches you a lesson to not be a bully. This book is about Bradley Chalker. He is the oldest kid in class and he is a bully. He is a big liar and he likes to pick fights with girls. A new counselor thinks he is a nice boy and he really is. Well, I hope you enjoy this book.

Dizzy by Cathy Cassidy

Dizzy is a story about a girl who wants to meet her mother again. When her monther finally comes, she goes on a trip she will never forget, and learns things about friends and her mother Storm. This book is a story you won't want to put down. I recommend this book to 5th, 6th, and older grades.

Crispin: the cross of lead by Avi

In England, during the 14th century, a boy called "Asta's son" is falsely accused of being a thief and murderer. Now someone wants him dead too and he must escape. Asta's son takes with him the only possession he owns, a lead cross - which helps him find out his real identity. This story is an adventure that will keep you turning the pages. I highly recommend this book for 6th graders.
